Homemade Sour Cream and Salsa Sauce with Quesadillas Recipe
This recipe is ideal for a quick and simple meal that the entire family will enjoy. The sour cream and salsa sauce give the quesadillas a tangy kick, and the melted cheese and crispy tortillas make them irresistible.
Ingredients
- 8 flour tortillas
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 20 minutes
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, salsa, lime juice, and salt.
- Place aside.
- Preheat a large skillet to medium-high heat.
- Spread a thin layer of sour cream mixture on four tortillas, then top with cheese.
- To make a quesadilla, top each with another tortilla.
- Cook two quesadillas at a time in the skillet until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Rep with the rest of the butter and quesadillas.
- Serve the quesadillas wedged with the remaining sour cream mixture as a dipping sauce.
