Instructions

  • In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic is fragrant.
  • To the pot, add the chopped tomatoes, basil, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Reduce the heat to low and cook for 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from the heat and set aside for a few minutes to cool.
  • Puree the sauce with an immersion blender or in a blender until smooth.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
